Just another Manic Monday

Well, I had great intentions today of getting a lot of things accomplished!

- Take Winston on a walk
- Devotional
- Hair appointment
- Make a grocery list for the week
- Go to the grocery store
- Write a blog post
- Clean the floors (Winston sheds like crazy!)
- Laundry
- Continue the never ending job of unpacking boxes
- Return curtain rod to Home Depot
- The list goes on...

However, I only made it through item #3. Unfortunately, it was because I had a TERRIBLE experience getting my hair done today. So frustrating. Being in a new city, I of course have to find a new stylist. One thing I am learning about the area that I live in is that there are not a lot of other women around like me...not that that's a bad thing...just an observation. What I mean is, most of the women in the area do not color their hair or "tease it to Jesus". Nail salons are few and far between (as opposed to one on every corner like Dallas), and I am usually the only one around in heels. Again, this is not a bad thing! In fact, it's refreshing. BUT, that does leave me with the dilemma of finding a stylist. To make a very long story short (4+ hours!!!!), the lady who did my hair was having a hard time. And then it came out this ashy yucky "blonde" color. I politely asked her if she could lighten it. She used something that burned my scalp and brought tears to my eyes, but it did manage to lighten up a little. Don't get me started on the cut. Such a disappointing experience. Oh well. Hair grows. Now, on a happier note. This is one of my favorite looks: clean and classic. I wore it to dinner with the hubs this weekend. We went to Sol Food in downtown San Rafael. It was amazing! The weather here can get a bit chilly at night. Jeans and light, long sleeved blouse are perfect. Plus these shoes are from Target and they are aaaaaamazing!!!!
