Must-Have Holiday Makeup Items!

Hey y'all!

This time of year is always full of fun holiday parties and get togethers. I think that during the holidays you can easily get away with a more festive makeup look! Today I am sharing my "must-have" makeup items to help you get glammed up for all of your upcoming events. Enjoy!

1. Long-wearing foundation: This Double Wear foundation from Estee Lauder is amazing stuff. Very long-wearing and great coverage. You won't have to worry about touching up throughout your party!

2. Rosy Blush - This color "Dollymix" by MAC is very pigmented so you only need a tiny bit, but it gives you a healthy, rosy glow that is perfect for this time of year. (Side note, I wore this color on my wedding day AND it was a Christmas wedding...just saying!)



3. Holiday Glow - I love MAC's "Vanilla" pigment as a highlight for a pretty glow. I just pop it on my cheekbones above my blush and it is so pretty



4. Gold and/or Silver eyeshadow - This is the perfect time of year for metallic eyeshadow. I personally love wearing gold or silver on my lids during the holidays. Loreal's infallible eyeshadow in "Eternal Sunshine" is my favorite gold (helpful hint, apply with your finger not a brush) and "Dione" by NARS is my favorite silver. Pair either with a bright lip and you are party ready!

 

5. For any makeup look, I swear by black liner and black mascara. I recommend Maybelline gel liner (the best gel liner I have every tried...and I've tried a lot!!) and I am really loving this CoverGirl Star Wars mascara. It has more of a comb wand and makes your lashes look gorgeous.

 

6. Bold lip: This is an absolute must in my book!! I love wearing red lipstick at Christmas. The shade "69" by Urban Decay is the perfect shade. I like to switch things up sometimes and wear pink and I am currently loving the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in "Melted Fuchsia". *My favorite drugstore lipsticks for the holidays are Revlon "Fire and Ice" and "Cherries in the Snow".

7. Red Nails: Last but not least, red nail polish. Nothing is more festive! The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel collection is wonderful. It lasts so much longer than any other nail polish I have tried. The color I am wearing for the holidays is called "Rhapsody Red".
