Winterize Your Work Wardrobe Part 2

Hey y'all!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with your loved ones! Matt and I flew back to San Francisco late last night. It was so good to come home to our little fur child!!! Didn't get much sleep though so today has been rough. Thinking I need to run to Starbucks for a late afternoon pick me up...But first I want to share with you another way to winterize your work wardrobe! Same concept as Friday's post; adding layers to a sleeveless dress to make it cold weather appropriate. I love to layer turtlenecks with dresses. I have found some really soft, thin ones that I linked at the end of the post. The one I'm wearing is from JCrew and I also picked up a few just like it from Banana Republic (hello Black Friday sales!). Also, this statement necklace is my favorite and is on sale now for 25% off (hello Cyber Monday sales!). Actually, just about everything is on sale today due to Cyber Monday. I listed any discount codes you need at the end of the post. I hope you enjoy this look and are staying warm wherever you are! It's cold and rainy today in San Francisco...Brrr!!!

Winterize Your Work Wardrobe (Part 1)

Hey y'all!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! I will be out doing a little Black Friday shopping today and enjoying the fact that now everyone is in the Christmas mood! Today I am sharing one way to winterize your work wardrobe. Just because the temps have dropped, doesn't mean you have to buy all new "winter" clothes, although if you do, I won't judge! ;) This Loft dress is perfect year round. You can wear it alone, with a cardigan during the warmer seasons or bundle up like I did for winter! This is perfect for work. It is warm, professional, and feminine. Stay tuned, I have another look coming on Monday to winterize your wardrobe. Hope you enjoy!

Piko and Plaid

Hey y'all!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I have another outfit idea that would be perfect for stuffing your face with lots of yummy goodness on Thanksgiving! I am really looking forward to some mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce (the kind that comes in a can!!), and Cinderella Cake (my signature desert for the big day!). I purchased this Piko top and plaid infinity scarf at Antique Garden in Norman, Oklahoma when I was in town a couple weeks ago. Antique Garden is my FAVORITE store in Norman, and Oklahoma for that matter. It also brings back lots of college memories whenever I am shopping on Campus Corner. This top is extremely soft!! Like, you want to curl up and take a nap in it. It is also really long and I love to wear it with leggings (I also have it in crimson). And y'all, this scarf is so warm and cozy and I love the colors in the plaid. The price point is also amazing, only $21! Hope you enjoy!

Outfit Details:

Piko top and plaid infinity scarf are from Antique Garden / Shoes are Tory Burch (mine are a taupe color that was limited edition, but the Camellia Pink shade is really close!) / Clutch is old from Fossil, similar here / Necklace is Kendra Scott in "Navy Cat's Eye" / Earrings are Kendra Scott / Bracelets are Alex and Ani

***Be sure to follow @ShopAntiqueGarden on Instagram for product and sale information! They not only have adorable clothes, but their home decor is on point!

Thanksgiving Outfit

Hey y'all!

I am so excited that this week is THANKSGIVING!!! Matt and I are flying home to Texas on Wednesday and I can't wait to see our families and friends! I am also incredibly thankful for our sweet friends here who will be taking care of our furry child this week. So much to be thankful for!

With Thanksgiving only a few days away, I thought I would share a little Thanksgiving day outfit inspiration. While our Thanksgivings are always very comfortable and casual, I always tend to overdress just a tad. I love holidays and I'll use any excuse to dress up! I purchased this dress during the Nordstrom Sale this summer. Remember this post? I thought it would be fun to show you how to wear the same dress but in a more winter appropriate way. Hope you enjoy!

Blanket Scarf Tutorial

Hey y'all!

I am really excited to share with you how I wear my blanket scarves! I am showing you two different types of blanket scarves. I linked the scarves I used as well as some of my other favorites at the end of the post. Hope you are having a lovely Sunday and happy Thanksgiving week!

Blanket Scarf #1 (Square)

1. Completely unfold the blanket scarf so that it is a perfect square.

2. Grab two corners from opposite ends and fold the scarf in half to make a triangle.

3. Wrap the scarf around your neck with the pointed end of the triangle facing down.

4. Wrap the two ends behind your neck and pull until you have the desired length of the scarf in front.

5. Tuck the ends underneath the front of the scarf. Adjust the scarf until you get the look you want!

Blanket Scarf #2 (Rectangle)

1. Completely unfold the blanket scarf so it is a perfect rectangle.

2. Grab one end of the scarf with one hand and the middle of the scarf with the other, making the scarf thinner. Put one end behind your neck.

3. Wrap the other end of the scarf in front of your neck and bring it around your head to the other side.

4. Pull both ends of the scarf until you have the desired length in the front.

5. Tuck the two ends behind the front of the scarf and slightly pull out the front part to make it look thicker.

I hope this makes it easier for you to tie your blanket scarves! Let me know if there are any other tutorials or post suggestions you have!!
