Ringing in 2016

Hey y'all!

I seriously can not believe that Christmas is already over! Fortunately, we still have one more holiday this season, New Years! So much has happened during 2015 and I am excited to see what 2016 brings. Today, I am sharing the perfect party dress! I wore this for Matt's company Christmas party, but I think it would be amazing for New Year's Eve! I love the cutouts on the sides, the tiny gold polka dots, and of course the pockets. Matt and I will be celebrating NYE with our family, watching our OU Sooners play in the Orange Bowl! How will you celebrate the new year?

Christmas Day Outfit

Hey y'all!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!! Today I am sharing a great Christmas Day outfit idea. This sweater from Target is the perfect shade of "Christmas red". I sized up for a more oversized fit. It is really comfy! Of course I'm wearing my favorite Sutton & Co. blanket scarf for extra warmth and a pop of green. This outfit is so cozy and perfect for a day filled with family celebrating the birth of our Savior!

Tomorrow I will get to have brunch with some of my high school besties. Our family will go to church and then host a little Christmas Eve party. It's a tradition that my brothers and I open gifts from each other on Christmas Eve. Then we all take Advil, drink a ton of water, and go to bed! (We tend to have a good time at the Christmas Eve party....) We will be spending Christmas day opening presents, seeing Star Wars (no spoilers please!!!), and having dinner with family and friends. What are your plans for Christmas??

P.S. I'll be back next week with a fun New Years Eve look.

Merry and Bright

Hey y'all!

Merry Christmas Week from Oklahoma! We survived the 25+ hour drive from San Francisco to Oklahoma City. Our little Winston was such a trooper! I will only have two posts this week because it's Christmas!!!! I hope you have a wonderful week filled with all of the holiday goodness that comes this time of year.

This look is a great way to switch up the traditional red/green combo for something fun and BRIGHT! I found this sweater at Target and love the cobalt blue color and the long length. You probably recognize this scarf from this post. I love pairing bright colors together! Throw in a touch of leopard and you can tackle the world. Hope you enjoy!

Road Trip!

Hey y'all!

So this year for Christmas, we decided that we are going to be DRIVING home to Oklahoma and Texas and bringing our dog, Winston. I have never been a fan of long road trips...so this should be interesting. It made the most sense though, since we will be gone for 2 weeks and weren't comfortable with our options for Winston. Plus, if you know about his last adventure flying then you know that we will never put him on a plane again!! (If you don't know, the short version is the airline put him on the wrong flight and what should have been a 3.5 hr flight, turned into a 16 hr day of flying) I thought it would be fun to share a little traveling outfit along with some travel "must haves".

I am all about being comfortable when I travel. Comfy jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt are the obvious choice. No need to get all dressed up to sit in a car all day. I will definitely be wearing a blanket scarf because you can also use it as a blanket to nap in the car! I also think UGGs are the perfect travel shoes because they are super warm and comfy and easy to pull off and on. Nothing worse than stopping to eat or for a potty break and having to take the time to tie your shoes....or is that just me?

Other travel necessities:

1. An iPad (or whatever device you prefer) - I plan on watching Christmas movies the whole time!!! We've also dowloaded some audio books :)
2.  A cozy jacket - This is the ThermoBall one from The North Face. I love this jacket because it is super lightweight and thin, but it keeps you crazy warm. It also folds up into a little ball making it ideal for packing and traveling.
3. Face masks - My skin always goes a little nuts when I travel. I love these Tony Moly sheet masks. You can put one on and take a little nap in the car then throw it away and feel so refreshed!

4. Chap Stick - I love the candy cane flavor! It keeps your lips so soft and the minty flavor makes them tingle!

5. Tote bag - I always keep a tote bag with me in the front seat. I keep all of my necessities in it so I'm not constantly reaching in the backseat and looking for things. Plus, Winston will be taking over the back of the car!

We leave Sunday morning. Pray for me friends!

Hey y'all!

So this post was originally supposed to go up on Wednesday, but obviously that didn't happen. I have been so busy trying to get ready for our big trip home...more on that in the next post....Today I am going to share TWO separate posts! My hubby and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary on Tuesday. I thought it would be fun to share some pictures from our wedding day! We had a Christmas wedding and it was so wonderful! Hope you enjoy a little peak into our special day, or if you know me and were there you can be reminded of the fun! Merry Christmas!

These girls are amazing and were the most beautiful bridesmaids! I love my friends!!

My MOH Devin. We've been best friends since 1st grade!

My beautiful house party!

My two *little* brothers.

My sweet family :)

The gift bags on the table were the table numbers! Such a creative idea by my momma.

We gave out snowflake ornaments as our "party favor".

One of my favorite pics from the reception of Addison and Kayla!

Everyone threw fake snow as we made our exit.

I hope you enjoyed this little look into our wedding day!
